It is roughly bordered by E Washington Boulevard to the north, N Lake Avenue to its west, Orange Grove Boulevard to its south, and N Hill Avenue to the east. The neighborhood was widely subdivided during the booming era of the 1880s, but most of the area remained agricultural. It slowly moved towards urbanization between 1900 to 1920, when Pasadena’s population drastically increased.
